Umming and Ahhing about having a DJ? Thinking perhaps a few playlists on your iPhone will do the trick?? Then you've gotta read this... because we, too, were in that same boat. But we've all been at the awkward party where the music is a little off and the dance floor is an empty void. For our wedding, the best day of our lives, there's no way we could risk it. With the wedding budget well and truly spent, we cautiously requested quotes from a number of Christchurch DJs... most of them were for limited number of hours, and for excessive amounts of money.

We were losing hope before finding DJ Dale, who came with recommendations from Brides near and far. After getting in touch, we knew we had found the right guy. Dale's pricing is spot on, his skills top notch, and his attitude above and beyond. Living in Brisbane, we didn't meet with Dale until the day before the wedding ... despite this, he was emailing us the week prior offering to help out with any last minute bits and pieces, and offering his professional recommendations for other vendors we required.

Dale arrived at our venue the night before to set up, and it was just like catching up with an old mate... you couldn't find someone more personable if you tried. On our perfect wedding day, Dale played from the beginning of the night to the end... (I think he finally crawled out of the venue somewhere around 2.30am!). The dance floor was never (and I mean NEVER) empty, and I believe the most valuable skill of Dale's is his ability to read the crowd... with guests ranging from 3 years old to 85, Dale played something for everyone.. with the perfect mix of requests, and picks from the Bride and Groom. There was just enough soppy love songs, but not enough to bore.. a splash of fun (featuring at least one dance off)... and a tiny bit of rock songs, much to the Groom's delight.

Of all the vendors we chose for our wedding, I can honestly say DJ Dale is the one our guests have commented on most. I would happily say he's worth his weight in gold, and recommend him for your special day. You won't regret it. So, seriously, put that iPod away!!
